Hackathon UX applied to the world of education with SM Publishing House y KSchool

During November 23th and 24th, SM Publishing House plus KSchool Digital Crafts School organized the first UX Hackaton applied to the world of education. The initiative could not find a better scenario to be developed than the Redbility Innovation Center as it was demonstrated during its course from the mouth of all participants themselves.

During these two working days, 14 couples had to face the challenge of presenting a concept of mobile application capable of encouraging the participation of students in any classroom. The aim was to improve work, motivation and results obtained during the learning process. By all means, the reward for the winning couple was up to the challenge posed: A free seat in the Master UX of KSchool for those who were winners.

After two days of work, the participants defended their proposals in front of an expert jury composed of:

• Alysson Ribeiro, Corporate Director of Services and Products at SM
• Mario Sánchez, Products & Services Director at Redbility
• Rocío Salinas, Director of Marketing and Business Development Area UX
• Miguel Ángel Ruiz, teacher and creator of the blog Yo Soy Tu Profe
• Henar Vega, senior UX Designer at Secuoyas
• Jesús Morales Arruga, deputy director of information of 20 Minutes

The quality of the work presented has been truly amazing. Each of the presentations met technical qualities, deep knowledge in the subject and high doses of enthusiasm coming from each and every one of the couples. Finally, and after a hard deliberation of the jury, the winning couple was announced: David Sánchez-Heredero and Ana Durán.

During these two days, the facilities of the new Redbility Innovation Center have been the best scenario to check the great state of health enjoyed by the sector. The participants, as well as the attendees and the jury of the event, coincided in the fantastic climate of competence and work lived together with the suitability of the chosen place.
