Hackathon UX with the SM editorial and KSchool

On November 23 and 24, SM editorial and the KSchool Digital Trades School organized the first User Experience Hackathon applied to the world of education. The initiative could not find a better scenario to take place than the Redbility Innovation Center as demonstrated in the course by the participants themselves.
During the two days of work, 14 couples had to face the challenge of presenting a mobile application concept capable of encouraging the participation of students in the classroom. The objective was to improve the work, motivation and results obtained during the learning process. How it couldn’t be otherwise, the reward for the winning couple was up to the challenge: A place in the UX Master of KSchool for those who were winners.

After two days of work, the participants defended their proposals in front of an expert jury integrated by:
- Alysson Ribeiro, Corporate Director of Services and Products in SM
- Henar Vega, senior UX Designer in Secuoyas
- Rocío Salinas, Director of Marketing and Business Development UX Area
- Miguel Ángel Ruiz, teacher and creator of the blog Yo Soy Tu Profe
- Jesús Morales Arruga, deputy director of information for 20 Minutes
- Mario Sánchez, Creative Director and User Experience in Redbility.
The quality of the work presented has been really surprising. Each of the presentations brought together technical qualities, deep knowledge in the subject and high doses of enthusiasm by each and everyone of the couples. Finally, and after a hard deliberation of the jury, the winning couple was announced: David Sánchez-Heredero and Ana Durán.
During these two days, the facilities of the new Redbility Innovation Center have been the best scenario to verify the great state of health that the sector has. The participants, as well as the attendees and the jury of the event, agreed on the fantastic climate of competition and work experienced as well as the suitability of the chosen place.
